One mentioned that she had autographed books during a time when she was supposed to be doing informal greeting only, and was corrected! It seems a little odd that they're scattered all over, as are the times--I couldn't stay for the whole event, so I was unable to get autographs from the authors I really wanted. I much prefer the way it was done when we had them on Wednesday evening, everybody together, informal chatting AND autographs allowed (I think the authors enjoyed sitting next to each other, too!) One or two seemed not to know what was expected of them. One seemed miffed that he'd been told to read from his book and he didn't want to do that (he didn't and his talk was very interesting). The presentations were constantly interrupted by loudspeakers announcements of door prize winners. There was no one from OELMA at the meeting areas to keep the authors on a time schedule. In short, it was not at atmosphere conducive to the presentations. By the time I got to the appetizers, they were all gone.
