Easton as Conference Location for 2009-your thoughts

More conference 2009 thoughts!  We are exploring the idea of moving to a hotel & the Hilton @ Easton in Columbus seemed to be a logical place.  The Ohio Middle School Conference and the Gifted Conference have both been there in the past.  If Hilton is booked, of course, we have to have a block of rooms.   Is $179 too much to spend on a room?  Will folks eat @ Easton restaurants instead of supporting our food events?  Would shopping be too much of a lure & we’d loose folks to that instead of attending sessions??  Tell us what you think!

What do administrators want/need to know?

A group of librarians in  the Central Region are exploring the possibility of creating a class w/ our Ed. Tech, ITSCO.  For once, someone approached us instead OELMA initiating the discussion.  This class would be taught next school year & we are debating content for the class now.  It would be offered to teacher and/or adminstrators! We are brainstorming ideas on what would be helpful for administrators to know about how school libraries make a difference for students and teachers.  I would love to hear your comments!
